Itinerary "Mount Victoria, Chin Villages"
After your transfer to Bagan Harbour, you will be taken to Kyung Chaung in a small boat in around 20 minutes. Then, a 7 hour car journey in an open-top jeep on dirt tracks to Mindat (1480m above sea level) in Chin State. You will spend the night in a simple guest house.
After sightseeing in Mindat in the morning, you will be driven to Aye Village at the foot of Mt. Victoria. The village lies 2100m above sea level. You can again stay in a simple guesthouse.
Morning jeep ride into the mountains (17km). The day trek to the 3055m high Mt. Victoria will begin, taking you through the Matmataung National Park for an insight into the rich animal and plant life of the region. The ideal time for this route is on March/April, when the rhododendrons are in blossom, and the area is also superb for bird watching. You will spend the night in a simple guest house on the edge of the National Park in Kanpatlet Village.
Jeep ride back to Bagan, where you will arrive in the evening after crossing the Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy). Transfer to hotel.
